It is a pivotal moment for Ørsted APAC as they accelerate delivery and scale impact across our three core markets: Taiwan, Australia, and Korea.

In Taiwan, momentum is strong at their 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 project. They have installed Ørsted’s first ever 14 MW offshore wind turbine also the largest of its kind installed in Taiwan. They have also completed their first suction bucket jacket (SBJ) foundations outside Europe and energised Taiwan’s first industry leading 345kV high voltage substation in collaboration with Taiwan Power Company. With all 66 foundations now manufactured and subsea cable installation underway, the project is advancing steadily and on schedule.

In Australia, they have secured key state and federal permits and launched their offshore geo-technical campaign. Their team was delighted to showcase the capabilities of their  un-crewed surface vessel (USV) at Barry Beach Marine Terminal, Victoria in supporting the critical survey work for the Gippsland project to Minister Lily d'Ambrosio and representatives from Gunai kurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporate (GLaWAC).

In Korea, the team continues to make solid progress despite a complex political landscape. Geophysical investigations are underway, and with permits granted, stakeholder agreements in place, and marine surveys ongoing, they now await the last outstanding approvals before they can start the geo-technical investigations and design development. They deeply appreciate the dedication of the APAC team and the continued support from the relevant authorities in helping us move forward.

These milestones reflect more than project progress they demonstrate how they are turning ambition into action.
