The UK government has confirmed a £200 million budget for Clean Industry Bonus payments in Contracts for Difference Allocation Round 8
.

The funding will provide additional revenue support for fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind projects that invest in UK supply chains and deliver environmental, economic and social benefits.

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero confirmed the budget in a notice published on 5 May 2026.

The Clean Industry Bonus forms part of the wider CfD framework and is intended to encourage investment across the offshore wind supply chain as the UK expands renewable energy capacity.

Applications for the scheme are scheduled to open between 13 May and 21 May 2026.
