Skyborn takes full ownership of Nordergründe offshore wind farm

Skyborn Renewables has taken full ownership of the Nordergründe offshore wind farm in Germany.

This acquisition strengthens its strategy of owning and operating offshore wind assets alongside project development.

The transaction increases Skyborn's original stake of 30% to 100%, with the company gaining the remaining shares from existing investors.

Nordergründe, located in the German North Sea, has been operational since 2017 and is made up of 18 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 111MW. The wind farm generates enough renewable electricity to supply around 90,000 households.

The acquisition supports the company's strategy of managing offshore wind projects across the full value chain, from development and construction to ownership and operations.

Patrick Lammers, Chief Executive Officer of Skyborn Renewables said: “Taking full ownership of Nordergründe allows us to apply our integrated approach to optimise performance and create long-term value.”

The announcement follows a series of recent milestones for Skyborn, including securing long-term power purchase agreements for its Gennaker offshore wind project and signing an integrated operations and maintenance contract with Wind Multiplikator for Nordergründe.
