Six offshore
wind projects in the Netherlands have entered into multiple five-year surveying
agreements with XOCEAN, a marine data specialist.
These contracts
were organised by Eneco, representing several Borssele projects, Luchterduinen,
Hollandse Kust Noord, Hollandse Kust West VI and Prinses Amaliawindpark.
Collectively,
these six wind projects consist of 303 turbines that produce renewable
energy for millions of homes in the Netherlands.
James Ives, CEO
of XOCEAN, said: "We are delighted to be supporting the Dutch offshore
wind sector through this long-term partnership coordinated by Eneco.
"By deploying
our low-carbon USV technology, we look forward to delivering high-quality
subsea data while significantly reducing operational emissions and enhancing
the overall sustainability of offshore operations."
XOCEAN will provide
bathymetric survey services for all six offshore wind projects under these
agreements, including gathering high-resolution data to evaluate the status
of monopile foundations, arrays of cables and export cable resources.
This information
will aid in the ongoing maintenance strategies and assist in "optimising
asset availability and long-term effectiveness".
