ScottishPower Renewables Investment in Skills and Employment

ScottishPower Renewables

ScottishPower Renewables East Anglia ONE project has promoted skills in the wind industry across the region through initiatives such as the Offshore Wind Skills Centre and the Skills for Energy Working Group. To do this the company worked with regional partners of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and the East of England Energy Group.

The company went into schools, supported offshore wind specialist courses at Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft’s East Coast College and sponsored post-graduate degrees at the University of East Anglia.

ScottishPower Renewables stated that this typical of the type of investment we hope to continue promoting in the local area with our new East Anglia Hub which brings together East Anglia ONE North, TWO and THREE projects into one combined procurement and delivery programme.
