Port of Blyth supports second Inch Cape export cable campaign
The Port of Blyth has completed its role as the mobilisation base for the
second export cable installation at the
Inch Cape offshore wind farm.
Working with cable manufacturer Orient Cable and lead contractor Enshore
Subsea, the port supported the installation, building on its involvement
in the first campaign.
The Port of Blyth said its involvement in the Inch Cape project reflects
ongoing investment in infrastructure and facilities to support the UK's
expanding offshore renewables sector.
The port has continued to develop its infrastructure to accommodate large
offshore wind construction and operations activities as demand grows.
Located off Scotland's east coast, the Inch Cape offshore wind farm is
expected to supply renewable electricity to more than one million UK homes.
