Pacifico Energy Korea has signed a MoU with offshore wind suppliers
Pacifico Energy Korea has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with
offshore wind suppliers EEW KHPC, KMC Line and CS Energy to help establish
an efficient supply chain for the 3.2 GW Jindo
Offshore Wind Project.
The arrangement brings together expertise in offshore wind foundations,
marine logistics and vessel operations, ensuring key components and each
project stages are supported. Each party will contribute its specialist
knowledge to the development of the wind farm, while Pacifico Energy Korea
will lead investments and overall project management.
Seung-Ho Choe, Representative Director of Pacifico Energy Korea, said:
“Partnering with local manufacturers and logistics companies is essential
to the successful development of large-scale offshore wind projects. This
MoU showcases our core strategy of prioritizing the local offshore wind
supply chain.”
A strong domestic supply chain is becoming increasingly important to support
the efficient and cost-effective deployment of renewable energy projects.
Signed on July 7, the MoU aims to enhance the productivity of the Jindo
Offshore Wind Project while strengthening the position of suppliers in
the Gwangyang Bay Area within the Jeonnam-Gwangju offshore wind supply
chain.
