Nylacast has appointed James Reeves as its new CEO, marking the next stage of growth for the British manufacturing company.

The company specialises in precision engineered polymer solutions for safety-critical and performance-critical applications, which are widely used across the marine, energy and construction sectors.

Nylacast chairman Mussa Mahomed said: “James brings a rare combination of technical credibility, commercial ambition and growth leadership. He understands advanced manufacturing, but he also understands the importance of practical engineering, customer confidence and operational delivery.”

In a recent statement, Reeves said the company would continue to move away from a “metal-first” approach, demonstrating that engineered polymer solutions can outperform traditional materials in terms of reliability, safety, wear performance, weight reduction and corrosion resistance.

The company will also continue to focus on strengthening customer engagement and expanding its international presence through its manufacturing bases.

Nylacast’s commitment to the renewable energy sector is demonstrated by its involvement in the Hywind Tampen project. The company’s Supergrip team developed a non-corrosive pull-in head assembly for the project, which is currently used in the world’s largest floating offshore wind farm.
