NKT has completed the expansion of its medium voltage cable production facility in Asnaes,
Denmark, marking a key investment in one of the company's primary manufacturing sites, where it has been producing cable since 1965.

The project began in 2024 with the aim of supporting growing demand for medium voltage power cable systems and strengthening NKT's overall production capacity.

The investment will help support grid modernisation, renewable energy integration and electrification efforts across Europe. The facility also aims to support the local economy, creating 100 new jobs in addition to the 300 employees already based at Asnaes.

The expansion includes a new production hall, upgraded manufacturing and testing facilities, and improved workflow efficiency, allowing higher production output.

These upgrades allow NKT to meet the demands of an increasingly electrified Europe while reinforcing Denmark's role as a hub for renewable energy development.
