The WIND Group has opened a cable storage and offshore service hub in partnership with Smålandshamnar at the Port of Oskarshamn in Sweden.

The hub aims to expand WIND’s presence in the Baltic region while supporting cable transport, storage, cable equipment supply, and additional offshore services.

The location provides access for the vessels and cable transfers due to its large size and water depth.

“We can offer clients a comprehensive range of services, including carousel rental, logistics and marshalling, alongside equipment supply, maintenance and vessel mobilisation services through our colleagues at Draftec,” said Tom Nooij, CEO of WIND.

The project is a strategic investment for the company that utilises the expertise of both the WIND Group and the Port of Oskarshamn to create new business opportunities and support operational activities and capabilities within the region.
