PKR Offshore Co. Ltd subsidiary Marco Polo Marine has announced a signed framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa, set to span two years from 2029.

The agreement covers the future deployment of two commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs), which will support offshore wind projects in Taiwan and across the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The vessels will be equipped with Siemens Energy’s BlueDrive PlusC hybrid propulsion system, designed to lower operational costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance safety, enabling more efficient offshore operations.

Sean Lee, CEO of Marco Polo Marine, said: “Securing a multi-year framework agreement for our CSOVs, even ahead of the delivery of vessels, is a strong endorsement of our next-generation CSOV Plus and of PKRO’s track record in supporting offshore wind projects in Taiwan.”

The collaboration comes as the offshore wind sector continues to expand across the Asia-Pacific region, where strong partnerships and resilient regional supply chains are expected to play an increasingly important role in supporting future development
