Inter-array cables have been installed by Van Oord at Iberdrola Deutschland’s offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.

The project will become the company’s third offshore wind farm in the region, alongside Wikinger and Baltic Eagle.

The new installation includes 21 inter-array cables with a combined length of 28km. The 315 MW project is expected to generate enough electricity to power about 315,000 households. Together with Wikinger and Baltic Eagle, the three projects will have a combined capacity of approximately 1,100 MW.

The project is progressing on schedule and has recorded no lost-time incidents, with around 360,000 working hours completed to date.
