Inch Cape Offshore
Wind Farm has launched recruitment for the first 10 positions supporting
the operation of the project from its new Montrose base.
The North Sea
wind farm is located 15 kilometres off the Angus coast and will be operated
from a new £6.5 million operations and maintenance facility currently under
construction at the Port of Montrose.
The project is
expected to create at least 50 full-time jobs during the operational phase.
Positions will be available both with Inch Cape and turbine supplier Vestas,
which has a service warranty agreement covering offshore turbine maintenance.
Anyone interested
in the roles can find out more on the project’s vacancies
page on the website.
The first recruitment
phase includes management roles covering health, safety and environment
(HSE), contracts and commercial activities, control room operations and
engineering. Technical vacancies include wind turbine generator, foundations
and balance of plant, high-voltage electrical and SCADA engineering positions,
alongside a works co-ordinator and performance lead.
The roles will
be office-based or hybrid, with offshore visits undertaken as required
using crew transfer vessels operating to and from the site. Applications
are open until mid-August, with successful candidates expected to begin
in the autumn.
Further opportunities
are expected as the project progresses, including goods and service contracts
that will support ongoing operations and maintenance activities. Inch Cape
Offshore Wind Farm is jointly owned by ESB and Red Rock Renewables, which
each hold a 50% stake in the project.
