Haizea Wind Group has started manufacturing monopiles for the 1.4GW
Norfolk Vanguard West offshore wind farm in the UK.

The milestone was marked by the first steel cutting at the company's facilities in the Port of Bilbao, Spain. The monopiles will support turbines at Norfolk Vanguard West, which forms part of a wider offshore wind development expected to deliver up to 2.8GW of installed capacity alongside the neighbouring
Vanguard East project.

The contract is the third major monopile order to be executed at Haizea's Bilbao facility since it opened in 2024. Previous projects include ScottishPower's
East Anglia Three wind farm and Ørsted's Hornsea Three development.

This latest contract further strengthens their position in the European offshore wind supply chain, with Haizea stating, “We have the technology required to manufacture XXL components for higher-capacity turbines exceeding 20 MW, which strengthens our competitive positioning.”

Located off the east coast of England, Norfolk Vanguard West is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to help power 2.5 million British Households once operational.
