Haili awarded major 16MW offshore wind jacket contract in China

Chinese offshore
wind foundation manufacturer Haili has secured a new fabrication contract
involving what the company describes as some of the world’s largest wind
turbine generator (WTG) jacket foundations.
The project will
involve the fabrication of 30 four-leg jacket foundations with pin-piles
for 16MW offshore wind turbines in China. According to Haili, each structure
will stand approximately 105 metres high and weigh around 3,300 tonnes.
The scale of the
foundations reflects the continued shift towards larger turbine platforms
across the offshore wind sector, particularly in the Chinese
market,
where developers and suppliers continue to scale manufacturing capacity
for next-generation projects.
Haili said the
award further strengthens its position within the offshore wind foundation
sector and highlights its experience in delivering large-scale offshore
engineering structures.
The company added
that the project will be delivered to support major offshore renewable
energy developments in China, although further details regarding the end
client or offshore wind project were not disclosed.
