Good Energy Signs Its Largest-Ever Renewable Power Agreement With Ørsted

Good Energy has signed a two-year power purchase agreement with Ørsted to source renewable electricity from the Walney 1 and Walney 2 offshore wind farms.
Under the agreement, Good Energy will purchase 200GWh of renewable electricity annually from the offshore wind farms between October 2026 and October 2028. The deal will deliver a total of 400GWh of renewable power over the contract term
The company said the agreement represents the largest energy supply deal in its 26-year history and will support increasing demand for renewable electricity from its growing customer base.
The latest agreement builds on an existing relationship between the companies, following a previous arrangement signed in 2023 covering electricity supplied from the Hornsea 1 offshore wind farm.
Good Energy said the deal forms part of its wider energy sourcing strategy, combining electricity purchased from independent renewable generators with larger-scale, long-term agreements to secure additional volumes of renewable power.
