EEEGR Commences East Anglia Offshore Wind Week Conference

Today (22 November 2019) EEEGR is holding day two of its fifth annual East Anglia Offshore Wind Week event. The much anticipated event is held in conjunction with Renewable UK’s national programme dedicated to the offshore wind sector.

Day two of the event includes a conference which will see updates from developers with regards to on-going and future projects, innovations from the supply chain and developments from local authorities eager to attract inward investment. There is also be ample opportunity to network with a number of industry professionals across the supply chain opening the doors to new opportunities.

Some of the top developers in the region, including SSE Renewables, Equinor, innogy, Ørsted, ScottishPower Renewables, Vattenfall will offer insight into future opportunities for companies across the supply chain and into the inner workings of cutting edge offshore wind developments taking place off the UK coastline.

Attendees will also hear passionate presentations from students and young people looking to forge a career in the industry. East Coast College, UEA and the Ogden Trust internship programme will all be showcased as well as EEEGR’S Offshore Wind Special Interest Group (SIG).


The conference follows a busy day of site tours, workshops and networking yesterday in which delegates were invited to peak behind the curtain as to how both local and multinational companies help maintain the East of England as the epicentre for offshore wind and the offshore energy powerhouse of the UK.
