Decom Engineering has appointed Keith McDermott as chairman as the company
expands its subsea cutting technology business in offshore decommissioning
markets.
The company recently secured a US patent covering elements of its proprietary
Chopsaw cutting technology and said additional patent applications are
progressing in multiple international jurisdictions.
Decom said its cold-cutting systems are designed to reduce operational
risk and downtime during dismantling and decommissioning operations in
offshore and industrial environments.
McDermott previously served as commercial director and shareholder at Ecosse
Subsea Systems prior to its sale in 2018 and has held a non-executive role
at Decom for the past four years.
