Culzean Floating Wind completes floater loadout

The Culzean Floating Wind project has reached a key milestone with the successful loadout of its Ocergy floating foundation.

The operation, carried out by Archer Wind, marks another step towards offshore installation of the project. The loadout utilised Sarens' Strong Steve heavy-lift crane, one of the largest cranes operating in the offshore wind sector.

Attention will now turn to the installation of a Vestas wind turbine, which is expected to take place shortly.

The milestone highlights continued progress for the project and the wider development of floating offshore wind technology in Scotland.
