CRP Subsea
has secured a contract to supply cable protection systems (CPS) for the
960MW East Anglia Two offshore wind farm in the UK.
The company will
deliver 142 of its NjordGuard CPS units to protect inter-array cable ends
across the project’s offshore wind turbine foundations.
The systems are
designed to provide bend stiffening, abrasion resistance and long-term
cable protection at monopile and J-tube interfaces.
Manufacturing
will take place at CRP Subsea’s facility in the north-west of England,
with deliveries scheduled to be completed by February 2027.
East
Anglia Two
is being developed by ScottishPower Renewables off the east coast of England
and forms part of the wider East Anglia Hub offshore wind development.
The contract follows
Seaway7’s award to supply and install inter-array cables for the project.
CRP Subsea said
the award reflects continued demand for cable protection technology as
offshore wind projects increase in scale and complexity across the UK and
European markets.
