Bernhard Schulte Offshore adds new vessel to support offshore wind projects
Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BSO) has expanded its offshore wind fleet with
the delivery of Windea Clarke, a new commissioning service operation vessel
(CSOV) designed to support global offshore wind projects ventures
.
The vessel was delivered by Norway's Ulstein Verft on July 2 and is the
fourth CSOV BSO has received from the shipbuilder in the past year.
Matthias Müller, Managing Director Bernhard Schulte Offshore, said: “we
are completing a strategically important series of vessels that strengthens
our ability to support offshore projects with reliable tonnage while significantly
reducing the environmental footprint.”
The new vessel will be used across the construction, commissioning and
maintenance of offshore wind farms.
It is equipped with hybrid battery propulsion and is designed to be converted
to methanol fuel in the future, supporting lower emission operations.
BSO said the delivery reflects its continued investment in expanding its
offshore wind fleet and strengthens its partnership with Ulstein Verft
as demand for offshore renewable energy services continues to grow.
