Aberdeenshire-headquartered AquaTerra Group has reported turnover of £16.5 million over the past year, driven by increased decommissioning activity across the North Sea.

The company said demand for decommissioning support services has increased significantly over the past year as UK Continental Shelf retirement activity accelerates.

The offshore construction and maintenance specialist has supported projects on assets including Ninian South, Heather Alpha and Cormorant Alpha.

Recent work has included conductor clamp removal campaigns, topside preparation, and heavy-lift preparation, with several offshore projects running in parallel.

AquaTerra also completed a heavy-lift preparation campaign on Heather Alpha, during which all 10 jacket legs were cut over a 20-day offshore campaign. The company said the work was completed ahead of schedule while maintaining a zero-incident safety record.

The business has also secured new contract awards linked to topside removal preparation works on East Brae and Brae Alpha.

Managing Director Stephen Taylor said the company’s recent growth reflects increasing decommissioning activity across the UK Continental Shelf and the value of long-term relationships built during the operational phases of offshore assets.
